Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a Contracts Manager to join their Contracts and Procurement Division in Qatar.


  • Managing the contracts management and tendering process related to the company’s projects and internal/general procurement needs in close coordination with the relevant divisions
  • Providing practical assistance to assigned requesting departments during tender preparation by advising on the most suitable contracting strategy for a given scope of work
  • Reviewing the scopes of works prepared by Project Engineers/ requesting departments and preparing the most favourable commercial and legal terms
  • Liaising with the Legal Department’s officer and Finance Department with respect to compliance to standard legal and financial/insurance terms when required for a specific contracting strategy
  • Providing a logical breakdown of the work required into priceable units and assisting the concerned departments with a formulation of appropriate contract conditions, including the examination of pricing mechanisms with respect to accuracy and compliance with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Issuing and amending tender documents for review by concerned departments
  • Drafting responses to tenderers’ queries where these specifically relate to contractual, commercial and financial aspects contained in the tender document in line with the company’s policies and procedures
  • Carrying out the evaluation and agreeing all variations, change orders or concession requests with the contractor/consultant and preparing submissions together with respective Project Engineer/ requesting department to the concerned Tenders Committee for approval


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering subject, ideally with a master’s qualification
  • Full membership in a Professional Institution is desirable (MRICS or ACIArb)
  • At least 10 years’ experience in contract management for large scale construction projects,
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement and tender processes in the construction industry
  • Experience in awarding and managing contracts, with knowledge of commercial, technical, and legal contract terms
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with contract & procurement requirements, internal controls, policies & procedures, and local regulations
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English


There is an attractive salary on offer of up to QAR 50,000 per month depending on experience + education allowance + 1 yearly flight + medical insurance
